What got you into skateboarding?

A couple of my childhood friends had skateboards and I was super amped on it. I got my own board on my 12th birthday and it’s been on ever since then.

What is your skate scene like in your city?

I live in Albany OR, but I skate in Salem a lot. I would say it’s super creative out here. We have lots of crusty street spots and endless dreamland skateparks to choose from. Everyone is friendly and supportive out here.

What is you to go trick to start your sesh?

For transition, I would say go fast and do a frontside grind. On streets its most likely a few different pop shuv its variations.

Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?

I would say yes skateboarding has changed my life. I would not be the same person if I never started skating. It is hard to imagine what life would be like without a board under my feet. It’s like a chance to escape the daily grind and just enjoy the moment.

What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?

it’s a 3-way tie between, John Cardiel, Chris Gobber, And Mark Gonzales

Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?

I do both. I’m the type of person who pops in a skate video I just bought at the local shop and watches Instagram or YouTube skate videos at the same time.

What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?

That’s a tough one. I would say half cab mute grab body varial to melon on vert. It was the best feeling in the world. I am still amped about landing that.

Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for the skateboard scene?

Juan’s skate shop is my local shop. They fully support me. Huge shout out to Travis for all he does for the Salem skate scene. whether it’s giving kids who can’t afford decks old boards that aren’t broken to getting them amped on going to skate. it’s like a hub/meeting area for all the local shredders

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

I usually wake up, stretch, drink some coffee, then hit the road with the homies looking for some new spots.

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skate

Go fast! Have fun! And never give up. keep the passion alive and ride it till the wheels fall off.
