What got you into skateboarding?
I actually wanted to be a basketball or soccer player back in the day, but I never passed the test at the school cause I’m pretty sure I was not good enough with those sports. Until one day I came home I saw my brother “Lerry” skating in front of my house with his friend. Since then, I have really been into it. TonyHawk pro skater is one of the things too. Until one day I ask my parents to buy a skateboard and I fall in love since then
What is your skate scene like in your city?
I can say i’m really lucky that I grownups here in my city call “Bandung” because I surrounded by the great people, they influenced me to skate and do a lot of things beside skateboarding like Brand, Band, Art and Etc. Even though that’s not much spot here but still blessed.
Beside that right now It is getting big, a lot of lil kids skate really good on an early age the skate school (fat free City skate school) help their progress. there’s a few name “Zaidhar, Sabian, Shyami, Queen, they like 9th / 12th but I believe they will reach to an international level in the future
What is you to go trick to start your sesh?
Switch Tailslide and Nollie 360flip if I felt good when I do that then i’m ready for the sesh
Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?
Yes 100% I’m kind of mellow person, super shy, introvert I don’t have many friends. I probably have a huge depression when I grown up if my brother doesn’t introduce me to skateboarding. Cause since I am into skateboarding my personality changed 180, I become person who love meeting a new people, new friend, learn new things, traveling see other countries, skateboarding introduced me to a music by the skate video it’s lead me to my music taste which is skateboarding video always have a great music soundtrack. I’m just thankful for that
What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?
The great Pro skater I mean not only because he’s so good at skating or has a good style but also, he has a great personality, and they do other things. I think Prod, Pj Lads and Reynold is my biggest influence but damn too many great skaters that influence my skateboarding hahahaa
Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?
I grownups watching 411vm, so I prefer buying it cause that what we do back in the day and also is not that easy to make a full video they put all the works, time, love, and everything into that so who ever who made that skateboarding video I thousand percent respect them. So, watching full length video or documentary video is so much better than Instagram clips even though I am enjoying Instagram’s sometimes lol ahaha
What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done?
How did you feel when you landed it? I’m not that gnarly skater tbh hahahaha but I did Switch 360flip 7/8 stairs back in the day during my skate trip and it felt good when I landed that cause I never try that before shouts out to my homie who filmed that “Adrian Sinatra”
Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for skateboard scene?
Hmm Pretty much same as other skate shop around the world I guess, because I have skate shop to call “Linecoltd” we support the scene for sure, we support few kids, make a skate event and we ended up build a skateparks for 11years now
What is your daily routine before you go shred?
Coffee first for sure hahaha but beside that usually i hangout with my cats or dogs, have a shower and pick a clothes is one of my fav things before a sesh so big shout to all my sponsors that keep supporting me “ Redf skateboards ( Brandon ) , Happy wheels ( Steve ) , Diamond Supply ( thanks Nicky diamond and victor ) Grizzly Grip ( thanks Tuan ) Converse ,Endonesie, Was watch, Capslock and Linecoltd skateshop and I wish I ride for “Thunder Trucks Bones Bearings” my life will be complete hahaha
Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?
Just be positive, be good to everyone, be focus, keep doing what you are doing, hangout with a right people and stop thinking too much, be patient and set your goals
