When did skateboarding change your life?

When I started with skateboarding in 2003, so 15 years ago.

What is your favorite trick and why?

360 Shuvs and Flip FS Boardslides, not sure why, but they just feel so good…

With skateboarding in the Olympics, do you think skateboarding can prostitute itself or lose the true essence?

It’s maybe a bit of prostitution, but it won’t lose its essence. It will bring skateboarding more to the spotlight also of mainstream media and people.

When was the first time you won a skateboard contest & how did you feel?

I think it was in 2006 in my local park. It was a proud moment and motivated me for more.

Skateboarding and music are very connected to each other, what do you like to listen to while skateboarding?

To be honest, my battery keeps dying on my phone, but when it doesn’t, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and Ofege are playing.

Do you prefer to shred in the streets or skateparks? Why?

The street is king, but as long as you are with a good crew, it doesn’t matter.

Have you ever thought of giving up skateboarding? Why?

No, never! I only had a break because of injuries once, but I don’t even want to think about quitting, ever.

What inspires you to shred and evolve every day? Fame or just fun?

I do love to learn new tricks, but in the bigger picture, it’s more about having fun on the board and spending time with good friends!

What’s your daily routine before you go shred?

Since I work an exhausting full-time job, I first need a quick break when I come home, maybe a coffee or beer and then I’m good to go.

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Always remember to have fun and enjoy every second on your board! Maybe see you soon, cheers! Christopher.
