What got you into skateboarding?

I was 5 when my stepbrother got me into skateboarding. I used to watch him in the front yard doing ollies, it always blew me away getting it off the ground, even the way he dressed something about it was so cool. And then for my 6ht birthday my parents got me my first board and I was hooked ever since!

What is your skate scene like in your city?

The skate scene here in Santa Rosa is strong. They are people that have been skating for 40 years and people who just picked up a board skating together. The new generation is killing it in my area as well just creating a longer lasting scene out here inspiring people younger than them to pick a board up.

What is you to go trick to start your sesh?

It depends on what I am skating if it is flat its normal a Kickflip or Tre if it is a ledge BS tail.

Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?

Skateboarding has changed my life, even more it has saved me. There was a moment where I was not on the board so much and got into gang life and sent to jail, and almost prison for an exceptionally long time. After being released, I jumped back on my board and things have been taking off ever since.

What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?

Shawn Hale! Dude is a beast!

Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?

I prefer watching skate videos on YouTube. In the early 2000’s I bought tons of videos and I use to watch satori movement videos and a shit ton of strange notes videos, but it’s very convenient to just see thrasher posted a new video and I can watch it for free.

What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?

Craziest trick I landed sketchy: Fs tail Fs 270 flip out. Cleanest one I landed, Fs smith Fs big spin.

Tell us little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for skateboard scene?

The local shop here is rad, they have been around for a long time. I used to go there when I
was 7 or 8 and they were well established then. The staff there is always helpful and knowledgeable. As far as the skate scene the host and get a ton of support for the local jams they do for Joe Hyland and Tony Event, it rad to see everyone come together in masses when those are happening. They also are doing the most doing Covid which has been detrimental to shops, they are always updating their social accounts letting the community know what is available and what is not.

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

Typical morning, I stretch for about 5 minutes or so, try and get some food in me but sometimes that does not happen. Then I skate a few miles to the park where I either warm up at or spend the rest of my day at.

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Just keep focused. Do not stray away from the plan. Above all have fun out there.
