What got you into skateboarding?

I originally started skating as a faster way of transportation while taking the bus at the time. My friend had lent me their filming board, and eventually, I tagged along to Pro Park for the first time where I found out that few people skate it. It was then that I started going to said park and wanted to see what I could do!

What is your skate scene like in your city?

It does not feel like there is a scene in Vegas, more cliquey. That is just my perspective on the outside as I have been keeping to myself

What is your go-to trick to start your sesh?

I normally skate transition to warm up. I like to go straight into a blunt to rock on the small quarter and blunt transfer on the spine

Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?

I feel that skateboarding has changed my life in more than just being active. It changed the way I approach myself. It helped me build my confidence overall and helped me think differently in a creative aspect. The universe introduced me to great humans through skateboarding, as well as throwing new opportunities. I just wanted to learn to balance on a board and I was gifted with more

What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?

Honestly, Sammy Baca inspires my skateboarding. I love his style. He sold me my first deck and got me publicized to start skating spines! (I love that Vegas has several parks with spines.)

Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying them? Why?

Watching skate videos on social media is ideal because it is on the go. Though, I do prefer buying physical copies, especially from friends, because it is more meaningful, and I just have the love and respect for the work put into their work. (I also feel the same towards print

What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?

The gnarliest trick I have landed has to be a front 180 over a spine. The only way I can describe the feeling I had was a relief! It felt so natural and refreshing. I was so hyped

Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for the skateboard scene?

My local skate shop here in Vegas is Pharmacy and I love how welcoming they are. They have had the same management for a couple of years now and they help keep it up. The people make an enormous difference as the faces of the company. They throw contests here and there, just like this weekend they through one for Go Skate Day! That is the time when it feels like there is a skate community

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

Stretch, workout, eat, work on my laptop, then head out

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Do not compare yourself to others. Progress is not linear. Be kind to yourself. Get out there, have fun, and keep it consistent! Hold yourself accountable and believe in yourself because there is so much you can do! The world is yours.
