Where are you from?
I was born and raised in New York. I’ve lived everywhere from the Hudson Valley region to NYC.
What type of music did you hear the most growing up?
Growing up, I mostly listened to guitar driven music such as Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, and more.
What made you first realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
Something about Jimi Hendrix. Studying his music, his performances, his life was mind altering. He is a true legend, a pure energy. The way he allowed the music to simply flow was magical.
What sets you apart from other bands/artists today?
As an artist, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer something that is quite rare in today’s market is creative control — more so the ability to write all arrangements from guitar, drums, bass, piano, lyrics, vocal melodies, etc independently.
For those who have never seen or heard your music before, how would you describe your music for the public audience?
Ultimately, my music is a combination of elements inspired by RnB, Indie Rock, Alternative, Pop, Jazz, and Blues. I love all types of sound designs / genres so writing music for a public audience while catering to my personal taste is quite easy!

If you had to categorize your music, what genre would it best fit?
I call it Soul Infused Indie Rock.
Are there any stories surrounding your songs that you’d care to share?
Ironically, I tend to write about things I’ve never experienced. My music is driven by the power of foresight and manifestation.
What do you do with your time away from music?
Sleep. Love my mom. Also, SELF-CARE. I love hitting the shops & restaurants in Soho (NYC). I’m starting to dig fashion inline with music, so staying flexy is a priority. Something you’ll hear often is “treat others the way you want to be treated.” Then, there’s something you may forget along the way : you have to treat yourself the way you want others to treat you.
Any upcoming shows/tours/news?
I’m stoked to play the Earth Day Festival in Union Square (NYC) this Sunday (4/15/18). More tour dates coming very soon! I’m also in the midst of production for my debut album, This Livin. Psyched to share new music and visuals with the world! DON’T STOP. LOVE. – MB
