What got you into skateboarding?

I came home from middle school one day and one of the older kids in the apartment complex I lived in was grinding like 10ft on some of the red curbs, at the time I was mind blown. Like “what! you can do that??? Looks so fun!” Then shortly after my family moved to a smaller town where there was not much to do. Begged my dad for a skateboard and met a few friends at school that liked skating too. We are all still friends and all still skate to this day

What is your skate scene like in your city?

In Boise, Idaho it is small, it is growing rapidly tho thanks to guys like Paul Whitworth, Greg Goulet and the rest of the Prestige skate shop family

What is you to go trick to start your sesh?

180 no-comply or a front shuv

Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?

Most definitely for the better. I have traveled so much because of skateboarding and made so many of the best homies along the way. Its teachings are endless and it’s given me the confidence that you could drop me just about anywhere in the world and I’d have friends to skate with, know the good spots to eat, chill, etc…. Skateboarding gave me the keys to all of it

What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?

Growing up and nowadays I’d say Arto Saari, Mark Appleyard, Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Kenny A, Gino, Chico,Janoski, Busenitz, GT, Silas,Reynolds, JOHN CARDIEL!! What gets me most inspired tho is all my homies that might as well be pros like Ryan Flowers, Eddy Meksavanh, Allen Sowell, Dillon Castillo, Shea Cooper, and Lucas Erlebach.

Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?

Buying it. Support what you love

What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?

Ha, odd question. They are all hard. The first one the comes to mind right now would be the bs flip ender from my Lakai “Homage” part. I went back like 10 times over the course of a year and a half. I would just get smoked every time I tried it. Got goosebumps and one of the best adrenaline highs I have ever gotten the second I landed it. Going into that switch hill bomb I knew I was not going to make it all the way down, but I did not care

Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for the skateboard scene?

Prestige Skate shop in downtown Boise, ID. LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Paul and Greg are the best. They are your favorite shop owners favorite shop owners

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

Coffee, breakfast, stretch, tunes, hit up the homies. Pretty basic

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Have fun, push yourself, and push your friends to be better on and off the board. Do your homework, the more you know about skateboarding in the past and how it got to where it is now will only make you appreciate it more in the present.
