Gotham Park Update !!!

The Brooklyn Bridge is a sleeping giant. While its pedestrian promenade is a top five tourist attraction in NYC, the vaults of the Manhattan anchorage—which stretches from City Hall to the East River—have been closed for the past 13 years. This underutilized area has the potential to connect communities, provide green space and serve as a place to embrace the arts.

That is where Gotham Park comes in.

The vision for Gotham Park is to transform the Manhattan anchorage into a recreational area and communal gathering space for all ages, abilities, and interests.

CONNECTION | CURIOSITY | WONDER | RESILIENCE

After a two-year battle to get the space turned back over for public use, They have the biggest update yet – the park will reopen in 2023!

Read the feature in The New York Times about the nine-acre park-to-be and our plans to weave together playful, exploratory, and adventurous landscapes that will challenge, nurture, and unite the community.
