What got you into skateboarding?

My cousin Johnny actually, I saw him skateboarding on the flat outside of his house from the backseat of my grandma’s car going to a family dinner at their house when I was six, I was in awe!

What is your skate scene like in your city?

It’s a lot of fun, I just moved out to South Lake Tahoe, California. We have two skate parks in the city: Skate house & Bijou, they have a lot of fun cutty obstacles. Woodward Tahoe is nearby offering a mountain for snowboarding and an indoor skatepark year-round. For street skating Reno, Nevada is close by and offers the best spots, also skate trips to Sacramento are frequent.

What is your go-to trick to start a sesh?

Kickflip for sure!

Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?

Yes 100%, the opportunities I’ve had to travel. The friends I’ve made through riding for almost 15 years. The memories I’ve made on the road. The opportunities to work with Woodward East, West, and Tahoe. The inspiration to start my own brand: HARDWEAR SKATE CO. where all the graphics I hand draw and are wear-tested for maximum shred!

What Pro skater inspires your skateboarding?

Grant Taylor all day, the way he floats his airs 10 feet up it’s always stoked me out to go skate!

Do you prefer watching Skate videos on social media or buying them? Why?

I’m definitely on YouTube keeping up with all the new video parts, sometimes on Instagram. But buying it gives the video a whole other feel personally, I appreciate the content more for the buildup.

What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did it feel to land?

Man, I would have to say this local spot called T-tops back in Florida, there is a small gap and a larger gap. I had always wanted to do a 360 flip down the larger gap, so one day got my friend Andrew out there and ended up getting kicked out after sticking it a couple of times, went back the next day and finally got the land and it was unreal, I was so stoked on the footage and the way the angle turned out!

Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for the Skate Scene?

I have been skateboarding coaching with Woodward Tahoe, they offer contests for the kids, visiting pros, indoor and outdoor facilities, and year-round riding!

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

Wake up, shower, pick out the outfit of the day, make breakfast, do any computer work I need to finish up, pack a camera bag, GO SHRED!!

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Stay passionate, get creative, get out there with your friends, travel to new skate parks, and make some rad memories!!
