When did skateboarding change your life?

When I started for the first time in ‘05

What is your favorite trick and why?

Nollie flip. It’s the first trick that comes to mind when I think of doing a trick. It’s the trick that I normally do instinctually without thinking.

With skateboarding in the Olympics, do you think skateboarding can prostitute itself or to lose the true essence?

I think it’ll stay the same as it is for the most part. I don’t think it’ll be too much different than the “mainstream” contest skating of today and the last say ten years

When was the first time you won a skateboard contest & how did you feel?

The first contest win that I can remember is 2011, the best trick contest at the local park. Did nollie big heel down the stairs. I was a sick man, that was the first bit of recognition that I ever got as a skater, so I was high off that for a while

Skateboarding and music are very connected to each other, what do you like to listen to while skateboarding?

I pretty much listen to anything when I skate, I listen to a lot of different types of music. But hip-hop gets me the hype.

Do you prefer to shred in the streets or in skateparks? Why?

Man, I honestly prefer the streets but have grown in the habit of skating more parks lately. Really a seasonal thing I feel like.

Have you ever thought about giving up skateboarding? Why?

Be a liar if I said I hadn’t but they’ve always been short-lived, usually like shortly after an injury or something ha-ha

What inspires you to shred and evolve every day? fame or just fun?

Man, it’s a bit of both honestly, I know that it’d be fun as hell to the only skate so you skate harder so that you can make it but it’s just fun to piece things together and learn tricks and just push around

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

Try to watch at least two skate videos before I skate, stretch and eat something really. Listen to good music to set the vibe for sure. You know, got to find your balance

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Just keep skating really, have fun and don’t overthink it.
