Landen has been down with Knife Party Skateboards since the beginning when we had our second graphic and tried to launch a skate company. He is been super supportive, and I always go to him for his opinion and I value him greatly on and off the board as a rider and a friend. I am proud of who Landen is and to see all he has accomplished. He is a terrific skater with board control unrivaled to any He has a love for skateboarding and a way of seeing spots with creativity and mixing it with his undeniable skills. He is truly able to turn a skateboard into a work of art. He is one of my favorite skaters of all time of any level and I could not be happier to have him as an integral part of Knife Party Skateboards. We could not be luckier to have him as a rider and a friend.

What got you into skateboarding?

My buddy Theron in 7th grade bought a skateboard and a guitar because he wanted to impress girls. He and I hung out every day back then, so naturally, I started skating too. I scootered before he got a skateboard. I remember that I had a tough time choosing if I wanted to keep scootering or start skateboarding (laughs). Made the right choice

What is your skate scene like in your city?

It is small. It is always been small if I have been skating, like sixteen’s years. But that is also dope because I have been skating with the same friends for like sixteen years. That is rad

What is you to go trick to start your sesh?

Push, ollies. Maybe no comply or a shuv. I am not sure; I just jump on my board and start going

Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?

I have been skating since I was twelve, I cannot imagine life without skating. Obviously, I do think that being a skateboard teaches certain life lessons. Resilience and being intrinsically motived are I trace back to be a skateboarder

What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?

Mark Suciu, Walker Ryan, the McClungs, Sebo, Busenitz forever!

Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?

I prefer hard copies. Insta and YouTube stuff gets buried in the constant feed of new stuff coming out in a way I do not like. I think a lot of the nuances of skating fall to the wayside when you do not watch the same video every day for six months (laughs)

What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?

This is a tough one to answer… I cannot say just one, but I have battled tricks for hours and hours multiple days in a row. Finally landing anything like that is satisfying in a way I cannot describe. It is like relief mixed with joy

Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for the skateboard scene?

Deckadence is our local shop. And they are super supportive of the scene. Where the scene is so small, everything D Beau does is great. He supports us, and he works with the city for more support. That is rad

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

Eat some food. Probably read, scroll the gram, a little stretching and bouncing around to get the blood flowing. Drink coffee and water

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Currently, where Instagram reposts seem to be so important, my advice does not worry about that shit. I let getting reposted go to my head for a while, I wanted that recognition super bad, and it took some of the fun out of skating. Do not let skating become about getting recognized, let it just be about skating.
