When did skateboarding change your life?

When I was 6yrs old I started skating and my dad built me a mini ramp in the back yard. Soon after that, I found the bowl at New Smyrna’s skatepark.

What is your favorite trick and why?

Backside airs are my go-to.  It’s probably the trick that I enjoy doing the most. Lately, I’ve been doing ollie blunts a lot. I like those because every time I do them on something different, they feel like a new trick.

With skateboarding in the Olympics, do you think skateboarding can prostitute itself or to lose the true essence?

There will probably be more people that get into skating for the “sport” of it because of the Olympics. It may offer Skateboarders more opportunities and maybe cities will be more willing to invest in skateparks now that it’s an Olympic sport. I don’t think we’ll ever lose what skateboarding is about though. It will be interesting to see where it goes.

When was the first time you won a skateboard contest & how did you feel?

I think it was a contest at my local park in New Smyrna Beach when I was about 8yrs old. It always feels good if I did my best no matter what place I get.

Skateboarding and music are very connected to each other, what do you like to listen to while skateboarding?

Do you prefer to shred in the streets or skateparks? Why?

Skateparks and backyards. I spend most of my time in bowls and vert ramps.

Have you ever thought about giving up skateboarding? Why?

I’ve never thought about giving up skateboarding. There have been times when I’ve been burnt out on contests. I’ve met some rad people through contests though so it’s always good to see my friends and reminds me why I enjoy them.

What inspires you to shred and evolve every day? fame or just fun?

About the FUN. I’m always trying to learn and evolve though. One of the positive things about skating contests is it pushes you to learn new things and skate new places. Representing the sponsors that support me also inspires me to do better.

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

My brother and I pretty much skate every day. Its Florida so it’s hot during the day and it rains a lot. Depending on the weather we go to our local park after school which has my favorite bowl & we try to go to a vert ramp once or twice a week.

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Have fun and skate every day! The friends you make skateboarding will probably be lifelong friends.
