What got you into skateboarding?
Just seeing some kids from my high school skating got me to try it
What is your skate scene like in your city?
The skate scene in East county SD is cool, it’s really mellowed right now and not much is popping off, but we go through phases ha-ha.
What is you to go trick to start your sesh?
I usually start off with a couple the ’50s and 5-0s on a QP. if there not one around I’ll do a tre
Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?
Skating changed my life 100% just by giving me an outlet to push and express myself in the sickest way.
What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?
The skaters that inspire me most got to be Trevor Colden, Tre Williams, and probably Nyjah.
Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?
Social Media, it’s easier to watch & they updated
What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?
The gnarliest thing I’ve ever done was either my first 20 or back three the Courthouse 15 in downtown SD. Both had me feeling like I was just along for the ride and not really in control but in a good way.
Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for the skateboard scene?
Local skate shop is probably the only reason skating is thriving the way it is in East county, not much is going on there so everyone here is thankful for Mark getting it going for us
What is your daily routine before you go shred?
I usually wake up at 5 am and shovel asphalt all day before I go skate … the bright side is I’m warmed up before I even start skating
Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?
The only advice I have to anyone in the next generation is to have fun, don’t go to the park and be sitting down on ur phone the whole time, and don’t skate only one type of obstacle, skate everything
