What got you into skateboarding?

I started skating in 2006. I was at a sleepover with my best friend from 6th grade and we found a fantastic four board at his house. I asked my mom for a board for months!

Then later that summer my granddad took me to sears and we got an Ed Hardy board. soon after that, I saw some people at freedom plaza skating, and I was like “ I’m not a real skater until I can ollie up a curb.”

What is your skate scene like in your city?

I live in Clinton right now and there are like three skateparks near me. Those parks have a healthy community of skaters. I mostly skate at freedom plaza in DC when I am home now ha-ha.

The skate scene in DC is thriving! I want to shout out to Tampa Florida too, the skate scene there is alive and well

What is your to-go trick to start your sesh?

Lol, I do all the 180s starting with back 180s. Then I do the straight 8. Sometimes I just do heelflips though ha-ha.

Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?

I do! I have had my most amazing moments stem from the fact that I am a skater. I started skating when I was ten years old and the following fifteen years have been full of life lessons!

I’ve met so many awesome people! I have traveled so much! I even moved from DC to Tampa with my mom in 2011! I found God in Tampa. Yes! Skateboarding has changed my life ha-ha. Like, I get irritable when I do not skate ha-ha.

What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?

Bro! I have a list!! Brian Tucci, Bobby Worrest, Darren Harper, Stevie Williams, Paul Rodriguez, Jimmy Pellitier, Zion Wright, Ish Cepeda, Jamie Foy, Tyson Peterson, Ishod Wair… Just to name a few

Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying them? Why?

I miss the days of the DVD and the five-year video part process. I am more hyped on the ease of access to social media for sure. I do not have a problem paying for a good quality video though.  It is like a good album… It is worth it

What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?

I remember doing a heelflip Backside 5050 on the big handrail at the Skatepark of Tampa. I think that was like 2013 or 2014 but what made it epic is that Neckface was there painting the walls of the skatepark and he saw me trying the heelflip 5050 and was like “ I’ll give you all the money in my pocket”.

Then Brian Schaefer pulled up and offered to pay me to land the trick also! I landed the trick soon after and they combined their cash and gave me 27 dollars. I was shaking lol. Thanks, guys

Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for the skateboard scene?

Here in the DMV at the National Harbor, we have Brackish Waters surf skate & surf shop. They sponsor me and they always do give away and things like “the list” our local version of king of the road.

We have Crushed skate shop in DC, and they did the “pull up to Pulaski” recently where we had to post our best line on Instagram. I got 3rd in that comp ha-ha.

Also, there are Bethesda Boards. They let us start our DC Wheels 47-mile skate-a-thons in front of their store.

Shout out to SPoT in Tampa they do so much for the locals and the world! They do local comps to bring everyone together. Shout out to the Boardr.

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

Wake up & go shred

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Eat healthy food, have fun and be nice. Do not start any trouble and stay true to yourself. Don’t try to impress anyone else and enjoy your time with your friends.
