This year in France 13 skateshops competed at the Gerland skatepark in Lyon to discover who would win the all in important prize, a golden ticket to the finals.
After an initial team run to qualify, the 8 best shops battled it out in the afternoon at a insane level.
For the very first time this year, we even saw skate shop owners compete in the contest!! That was crazy, respect!! The 8 teams made up of 3 younguns and a senior went as big and skillful as they could during the battles… A special mention must go to the fight between the 2 abs shops, Annecy & Lyon, epic…
In the end, Wall Street (the 2015 winner) fought against Abs in the final, with Wall Street winning the honours and the rights to represent France in the finals.
The winning team consisted of the following riders: Flo Mirtain, Mickael Gazon, Steeve Ramy, and Adrien Coillard.
Nabil Slimani won the Nixon Best Trick Contest with a bunch of gnarly tricks including fs flip, tre flip, fs Blunt and a crazy pole jam lipslide on the big square rail…
