Rockstar Energy Drink announced today the signing of Keegan Palmer as the newest addition to its roster of talented skaters. The 19-year-old Australian is coming off an incredible year after being crowned 2021 Olympic Skateboard Park Gold Medalist.
Palmer’s incredible skateboard career began at the age of two, following a move from San Diego to Australia. He would compete in the Australian Open six short years later, his first major competition. Palmer won the Dew Tour AM Bowl Final at 14 before collecting amateur honors, including a win at the Combi Pool Classic and the 2017 Dew Tour Long Beach bowl title.
In 2018, Palmer entered the professional ranks and quickly brought home a win at Bondi Bowl-A-Rama, Gold Coast Bowlzilla, and the Vans Park Series stop in Oceania. A big win at the Australian National Park Championship followed, opening the door for Keegan to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Palmer won the gold medal that summer in Skateboard Park, writing his name in the history books as the first-ever for the sport.
Palmer signed a three-year deal with Rockstar Energy through 2024, which will see Rockstar Energy and Palmer develop a content series based on Keegan’s promising young career. He joins the Rockstar Energy Skate team, including Chris Joslin, David Gonzalez, and Cory Juneau. Catch more on Keegan this week @rockstarenergy.
