What makes “Derailer” different from your past releases?
Well it’s unique in its own way I suppose, It’s catchy and has a cool riff and chorus but other than that, nothing really. It was recorded at the same studio with the same engineer as the previous material and I wrote it.
Can you describe the concept behind the track?
Derailer is a song about trying to keep up an unnatural persona or image of oneself and keeping it going to the point of derailment.
What’s been the biggest change in your life over the past year?
Personally, the biggest change has been moving out of the city and into a secluded cottage with my partner. The cost of rent in the city was getting too crazy. We’re on the road all the time so when I come home it’s nice to have a relaxing place where I can unwind.
What song by another artist do you wish you had written?
Oh man, I often wonder if I could go back in time and steal a song and claim it as my own , what would it be? Probably 20th century boy by T.Rex or something by the Beatles but that is an ever changing answer.
Any plans to bring this project on the road?
Ya for sure! We have tour dates booked all over North America and Europe for 2024. We are working on getting to Australia as well.
