What got you into skateboarding?
I used to live right across the street from the skatepark, so I did some rollerblading, skateboarding, BMX & stuck with skating!
What is your skate scene like in your city?
Mostly the skatepark for years, but now there is a super sick spot right next to it. It is forbidden to skate there still, but we make it happen! The homies skate on the daily in Ventspils, Latvia! Come for a visit!
What is you to go trick to start your sesh?
The handstand
Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?
Been skating for two-thirds of my life, it is how I make a living & travel the world! It is how I feel alive
What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?
All my friends! Used to fan out on Janoski, Herman, Burnquist, Kremer, Eero Anttila & so many more
Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?
I will watch skate videos anyway, but I usually do not buy stuff. Back in the day before the internet, a VHS tape was valued as gold to me, so I would buy
What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?
Not sure! Going across a stop sign when bombing a hill? I felt blank after crossing the intersection. It was pure nothingness. Never again hopefully!
Tell us a little bit about your local skate shop & what they Do?
In Ventspils, there is no skate shop & in Riga, there are a couple. Those are the guys that make it happen – events, contests, videos, local skate news & rumors. skate sessions & skate crews, but ultimately, it’s one big family
What is your daily routine before you go shred?
Get some good sleep, good food, a couple of bangers, hit up the homies, pack my bag & cruise!!
Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?
Landing is the best part. Skate for fun & forget about it!
