The stage is set for an electrifying showdown at the FISE World Series Shanghai, where the world’s elite Street Skateboarders will battle for more than just a podium finish, they will compete for a golden ticket to the prestigious FISE: Battle of the Champions in Macau, set for March 21-23, 2025, hosted by Melco Resorts & Entertainment, with event organizer Hurricane Group and supportive partner Rakuten Sports.
The Skateboard Street Contest that will take place from 16 to 20 October 2024 during FISE World Series Shanghai holds immense significance for both Men and Women categories in Skateboard Street. The winners of this event will automatically secure their place in the exclusive Battle of the Champions in Macau, where only the best of the best will compete for the ultimate Skateboarding title. Other riders will be invited based on their performance in other FISE events or their overall standing in the rankings. This presents a rare opportunity for Skateboarders to not only claim victory in Shanghai but also to set themselves up for global recognition and compete for the ultimate Skateboarding title in Macau.
The FISE: Battle of the Champions, an invitation-only event, will bring together the top-ranked Street Skateboarders from around the globe in a unique battle format. Judge and Skateboarder Susan REEKERS has already praised this battle format, which made its debut at FISE Montpellier earlier this year: “The format, where two skaters skate simultaneously for three minutes, brought a dynamic that I have not experienced before. Skaters took more risks and pushed their limits. The crowd was wild and responded enthusiastically to the battles. This energy was contagious for the skaters, who were even more hyped.”
In addition to the Skateboard Street competition, the FISE: Battle of the Champions promises a vibrant atmosphere with a celebration of Skateboarding culture that unites athletes and fans alike.
