Where are you /your band from?

We are based out of Los Angeles, CA.

What type of music did you hear the most growing up?

We call it “Older brother music”. We both had older siblings and parents that were into cool music. Riley and I (Josh) bonded over our mutual early introductions to Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers and the like.

What made you first realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?

Just how much joy we got out of the work and the process of creating in general. And in the early days, the positive responses we both got from our friends and family gave us the confidence to believe we could do it for a living.

What sets you apart from other bands/artists today?

I think we have a unique approach to our work. For instance, we make a lot of our decisions through the proverbial lens of “Is this punk rock?” You’d be surprised how fast that question will firm up a creative decision for you.

For those who have never seen or heard your music before, how would you describe your music for the public audience?

Synth/Beat heavy songs that you can ride fast OR roll really slow to.

If you had to categorize your music, what genre would it best fit?

We get categorized under so many different things, it’s hilarious. We half-jokingly started labeling it Rogue wav. We just like to do our thing and putting “wave” on the end of anything makes sound 10x cooler.

What do you do with your time away from music?

We really enjoy camping and outdoor stuff. It’s a really nice juxtaposition from being in a studio looking at flashing lights and screens all day. It really helps to disconnect and give your self-room find new inspiration.

Any upcoming shows/tours/news?

We have a new single called “Weight of the World” out now(?) and a new LP coming out this year. We will probably do some shows/touring around that release later this year
