What got you into skateboarding?
I started rollerblading in 1998 and discovered skateparks, skateboarders. I left my rollerblades 3 years after to do skateboarding!
What is your skate scene like in your city?
Parisian skate scene is impressive! We get big famous plazas like Le Dome, République, Créteil… Many crews are motivated to move on different spots and film some stuffs! Paris is one of the best cities for skateboarding, lot of spots, not many skate stoppers, walk sides are smooths and police does not care if you skate the streets!
What is you to go trick to start your sesh?
Quite simple flat ground tricks like no comply, nollie shuv, varial heel…
Do you feel skateboarding has changed your life? How?
Absolutely, because I get a different vision of the city and use to lose myself in different towns just to find some new skate spots! Skateboarding taught me Perseverance, open mind and allowed me to travel and met a lot of people! my musical culture grew up too I through skate videos!!
What pro skater inspires your skateboarding?
I like original and funny skateboarders like Haslam, Barletta, Jimmy Carlin, Richie Jackson, Kevin Rodrigues, Max Palmer, Madras Apse, Jaakko…
But I also like skateboarders like Brian Peacock, Tom Knox, Milton Martinez, Bobby Puleo, Paul Shier and Aurelian Giraud of course!
Do you prefer watching skate videos on social media or buying it? Why?
I used to buy DVDs, I get a massive collection, but DVD is disappearing and difficult to find in skate shop. I do not like to buy digital video…I just use to watch videos on skateboarding websites.
What is the gnarliest trick you have ever done? How did you feel when you landed it?
It is difficult for me to choose what is my gnarliest trick. In my last video part, the Half cab dark slide to shuv its dark slide shuv out! I spent 2 hours and half to do it perfectly! NBD, I guess!
Tell us little bit about your local skate shop & what they do for skateboard scene?
Ten skate shops in Paris! I ride for Balaguer skate shop who opened in 2016! The boss is 40 years old and still skateboards very well!!
He used to make events like video premiere, contest and sponsors some guys!
What is your daily routine before you go shred?
Cappuccino, go on True Skateboard Mag to check last videos, and listen to some ninety’s mainstream music like Britney, Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys!
Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?
Do not listen to other people, do your own thing, do not follow the mass, just skate for fun, for you, not for the glory!
