When did skateboarding change your life?

I was 9 years old when I ollied for the first time. I knew immediately this is the move that can bring joy into my life and a natural way of expressing the inner wilderness.

What is your favorite trick and why?

It changes with time. For the last 2 years, it’s been nollie kickflip. I like the variations into slides, grinds, manuals or doing it down the stuff. It’s just a great feeling trick. I’ve lost it for a couple of years due to my injury and then it came back, so I enjoy doing it all over.

With skateboarding in the Olympics, do you think skateboarding can prostitute itself or to lose the true essence?

Honestly, I don’t know much about the business of the Olympics. I’m a fan of the contest skaters who do these insane tricks on demand and now they have an opportunity to represent their country. There are places in the world where skateboarding hasn’t been developed yet. The Olympics could help to spread skateboarding into these areas and so skateboarding could benefit from it.

When was the first time you won a skateboard contest & how did you feel?

I was about 12 years old and there was some local contest. I was super lucky, and I did probably all the tricks I knew at that time. All the other skaters just somehow didn’t do clean runs, so I won it. Hahaha. I felt like they gave it to me just because I was so young.

Skateboarding and music are very connected to each other, what do you like to listen to while skateboarding?

I listen to so many genres. I am a strong music lover, but I skate without music. I love the sound of skateboarding and the small talks with friends.

Do you prefer to shred in the streets or in skateparks? Why?

I prefer the streets. It gives me the courage of doing something better than I can do in a skatepark. I like the feeling of skating the stuff that was not built for skateboarding.

Have you ever thought about giving up skateboarding? Why?

Just once for a second when I hurt my ankle really bad and the doctor told me I will never skate again. He was wrong.

What inspires you to shred and evolve every day? fame or just fun?

The fun and the friends I skate with. We always push each other. At one point it is also the IG where you watch new gnarly clips every single day.

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

I have no routine. I just go skate.

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

Try to smile while skating. Sometimes it helps to land tricks and it feels better.
