When did skateboarding change your life?
I think as a kid, the second I landed Flip I just fell in love with skating, it became stronger than me and more important than everything else
It’s just the addiction to the feeling of landing tricks and knowing that everything is possible, and the sky is the limit. Like a painter drawing on paper, that’s how skaters paint the streets with tricks.
What is your favorite trick and why?
So hard to answer this. Every trick is fun to make, I think that’s what’s special about skate. It’s just all fun.
I’ve always loved the basics, flipping every set of stairs or gap is always a good feeling
I think that in every period there are other tricks you fall in love with and that is why you do them endlessly until they are “locked”
Currently, my trick is to switch big heel. This is my signature trick at the session;)
With skateboarding in the Olympics, do you think skateboarding can prostitute itself or to lose the true essence?
I’m afraid skateboarding will lose its true essence, but I’m trying to be optimistic about it.
It would be fun to find out if after the Olympics Skate would be more acceptable in society and make cities build more and more parks.
I believe that only after the Olympics will we really know how much and if it helped the sport
When was the first time you won a skateboard contest & how did you feel?
I won’t forget it in my life. I was 14 and it was the best trick competition
The competition was on 3 stands and I landed a fake flip. I will not forget the vibes that were there, and all the cheers after the landing
There is no better feeling than landing a trick and getting all the hype from everyone around
I won a deck and it made me hungrier for more
Skateboarding and music are very connected to each other, what do you like to listen to while skateboarding?
Mostly old school rap – 2pac, biggie, NWA, etc. But I love everything, and lately every session I go out with a speaker, and every time someone else makes music to keep it flowing and fun.
It always gives you a hype to hear a song you knew from skate part, especially if it’s a part of a shredding skater you admire, and ride with it in the background
Do you prefer to shred in the streets or in skateparks? Why?
Skateparks are always fun, everything is perfect, built to skate on, but surely the feeling of going out and shredding the streets with the crew, and landing a trick on a spot which is not built for skate made it feel a lot more fun. Knowing you won the spot
Have you ever thought about giving up skateboarding? Why?
I never thought of giving up skateboarding. it’s just too much fun.
Obviously, there are periods that force you to take a break, whether it’s because of injury or the reality that takes over.
The period that forced me to take a break was between the ages of 18 and 21 when I joined the army. For 3 years I served as a fighter in a special unit specializing in bombs and explosives.
I would come home once every two / three weeks, for two days and not have too much time to ride.
But since the release from the army, my hunger has only increased, and since then there has not been a moment that I even thought about quitting
What inspires you to shred and evolve every day? fame or just fun?
Fun fun fun!
fun gives me the strongest inspiration without a doubt
It’s always fun to go out and land tricks, but the feeling of landing a new trick, for the first time, gives you a satisfaction that’s hard to explain in words.
There is nothing like coming home after a long session and knowing that you have done something new and raised your limit a little more
What is your daily routine before you go shred?
I am now a second-year physical therapy student in Israel, so most of the day I spend on my butt, studying.
After a long day in front of the books, my body is itchy and I must go for a session, that’s my reward. The skateboard just loosens my mind and gives it powers as nothing else does
Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?
Just go out and skate if you can
Remember that the sky is the limit, and it’s never too late to learn another new trick
