I’m 21, when I got on the skateboard I felt challenged and I love challenges since then I have not stopped.

Chacara does Jockey in Sao Paulo Brazil.

You were selected to represent Brazil in the Olympics; how did you get this news?

I was very happy, it is satisfying to see that all your effort and dedication has resulted in something.

 

 

Which skateboarder are you a fan of and inspired by?

Nora Vasconcelos, Allysha Bergado.

What is it like to be a woman and skateboard in Brazil? Do you suffer from any kind of prejudice because you are a skater?

In a country where culture is just football is hard to be valued being a skateboarder, being a skater woman is more complicated still, from the moment in which you talk to your parents who wants to be a skater and see their reaction, you can imagine as it will be from then on.

What does skateboard represent in your life?

Skateboarding is the basis of my life, it’s what moves me, motivates me, makes me happy, makes me be myself.

The skateboard and the music complete, what do you like to hear during the skate session?

Yes, the music makes you disconnect from the world and focus on you, and the skateboard is no different, I like to hear “Dead Kennedys – Holiday in Cambodia”

what is your goal, where do you want to be in a few years on skateboarding?

Get to live on skateboarding and travel the world by skateboarding. – AC
