When did skateboarding change your life?

I got my first skateboard at 9 years old. It changed my life around 12 when it became the only thing I wanted to do, the only thing that mattered to me at that point. It still changes my life to this day. Skateboarding takes you all kinds of places.
What is your favorite trick and why?

My favorite trick is BS Nosepick on anything. Feels so good to pull that into a large transition.
With skateboarding in the Olympics, do you think skateboarding can prostitute itself or lose to the true essence?

I’m 50/50 for skateboarding in the Olympics, I think it’s going to be good exposure for skateboarding as a community. However, I think that’s gonna bring in a ton of money grabs, with that comes people that won’t respect the values or true culture of skateboarding. We’ll see what happens though.
When was the first time you won a contest and how did you feel?

The first contest I placed 1st in was the 2018 Old man Jam in Houston.  Felt like a million dollars. There were so many rippers, and to walk away on top just felt unreal. Made me want to take my skating to another level.

Do you prefer to shred in the streets or in skateparks?

I never had a lot of street spots growing up, and barely even had a skatepark. I’m more partial to skateparks, but I’ll never turn down a good street spot.

Have you ever thought about giving up skateboarding? Why?

I think we’ve all thought about giving up at one point or another. For me, I hit this really long period of not being able to progress, and always getting injured. It was frustrating, but not stopping is what makes us skateboarders.

What inspires you to shred and evolve every day? Fame or just fun?

I can’t sit still in one place too long, skateboarding is my way outta the house or my head, whatever it may be. I like being able to look back and see the progression over the years, I want to be rolling as good as I can for as long as I can.

What is your daily routine before you go shred?

I check my decks, one for the park, one for all-terrain. Grab a bag, GoPro, batteries, tripod, water, extra shoelaces and head out. Straight to transition.

Any inspiring words you want to tell the next generation of skaters?

less wax, more speed, loose trucks, slap curbs, and if you are on a board you’re a skater, fuck the vibing.
