Skateboarding sits somewhere between the mental and physical. More than most activities, its greatest talents have some special spark in that nexus which allows them to make connections between the two that the rest of us just can’t.
Adrien has obsessive-compulsive disorder, which makes him fastidious about ordering, sequencing and structuring the world around him in order to allow him peace within himself. It’s one of the things that makes him unique. It seems this same condition also gives him the focus to go all-in every time he tries a trick.
