June 15th-18th, the Dew Tour hosted an epic weekend of skateboarding, music, art, & sunshine in Long Beach.  For the first year, spectators were invited to bring their boards for a one-of-a-kind skate-able sculpture garden made in collaboration with Steve Harrington, open free to the public.  Walking along the Rainbow Lagoon, I spot a giant stage was set-up for Saturday night’s Concert featuring Cam-Ron, Metro Boomin’ and Amine´. Next to that was a large tent filled with an art installation that showcased what skateboarding looked like through a scientific approach targeting wavelengths and heart rates.

There were 4 courses built by CA Rampworks.  Three of them laid out for street with a Tech Section having smaller ledges and flat bars, a Rail Section featuring a lot of kinky fun, and a Gap Section which transformed into the Street Finals course with benches and rails locked into place amongst the obstacles.  The fourth was the Pro Bowl course which had a nice deep end with pool coping and some extensions, a hip, and a channel gap to make it interesting.
