So, what made you start sk8in?

I grew up in Indiana and not too many people skated, so I thought it was rad from the first time I seen someone cruising down the street.  It’s cause it was completely different from everything else.

What’s been going on in your life lately?

There used to be that skate tv show on MTV when I was a kid too.  I remember that was probably the first thing I remember about skateboarding…

Since my injury I’ve been tryin to put the pieces of my life back together…

But with all the extra time I have been painting.  Hopefully get together enough stuff for a solo art show or possibly be part of one…

What show was that on MTV?

I think Jeff Philliips was the host of that MTV show….

That’s dope! How long till u think your shredding again?

Hopefully the beginning of 2012.  I just had  another surgery like a couple months ago to remove the hardware I had installed from the original injury incident…

I’ve gotta wait 2-3 months till the holes from the screws fill-in or I might get another fracture and have to restate the recovery process…

Dang!!! That’s Harsh!

Who supports your passion right now?

I still ride for Pharmacy Boardshop out of Palmdale Ca, and Bill Kellar from team BK has been two big supports thru this and the past couple years….

What’s in the future for you?

Focus on getting strong again, get my own apartment, and push myself to progress again at life in general.  I’ve been out of commission for almost a year…

A whole new approach to life.  We need to shoot some more better stuff when I’m better man….

Oh, can I give some shout outs?

Word up!!! WE here to help homies come up:) Shout outs fo sho:)

Big Thanks to Carl Carpentier, everyone @ Pharmacy Boardshop, Bill Kellar, the Estes family(especially the lovely Lorraine), the Lane family, my family and my grandparents most of all!!!

Por Que?

So, Mr. Brian Bell, why you’d start sk8boarding?

As a youth, I always liked skateboarding but for a long time it was pretty much just a mode of transportation.  It was around 1999 when I watched my first skate video (Zero, Thrill of it All) and suddenly I was addicted to skateboarding.  The possibilities seemed endless and I was eager to learn.  12 years later the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction still have me hooked. D.T.S. for life!!!
Gracias Brian Bell

Por Que? w/Gavin Macmahon

 Por Que, Gavin?

I started sk8boarding because I, ” moved ten minutes away from this skatepark called Maximus and started going there all the time.”

Gracias Gavin.

Por Que? (Why?)

"Por Que?"

Por Que, Nick?

I guess sports just never worked out because I hated coaches and I saw some kids skating at my school when I was like 11 and that was that.  I borrowed boards till I could save up for one of my own and never put it down after that.

Thanks Nick.

Is He A Pro?

After watching 20/20 on Tues night,  You should know who it was about “Charlie Sheen”.  I hate to say this but I saw this on facebook tonight or this morning ( whatever way you want to look at it ), Crailtap posted a “Top 5 reasons The Gav thinks that Charlie Sheen might be a pro skater:”
 1. He’s on drugs
2. He doesn’t make sense
3. He says “dude” and “radical” a lot
4. He smokes during interviews
5. Not afraid to hold up filming

You know what I thought it was pretty damn funny. You check it out for yourself:

Jeremy Wray 360 Flip Brea Park Ca.

I shot this these photos of Jeremy Wray probably back in 2000 with my 35 mm Ricoh camera.  Black and White Kodak tri-x film or maybe it was tmax 400.  Anyway, one of my photography instructors at the time told me I should have only captured Jeremy in the air with the clouds and not with the trash can in it.     I laughed…..

What do you think?
