On September 15th, the Los Angeles Galen Center hosted the SLS Super Crown 2017 Championships. The course, built by CA Rampworks, had smaller obstacles than previous stops on the tour. The reason could have been to encourage more technical skating. The larger of the obstacles was a 9-star with a extended runway in the middle and a grass gap embedded into the steps. As always, the Super Crown called for the Golden rails and ledges to signify the champion spirit.
Lacey Baker took home her second 1st place trophy maintaining her championship title. Leticia Bufoni placed 2nd, and Mariah Duran placed 3rd.
Nyjah Huston came out swinging and took home his 20th SLS trophy coming in 1st place. Shane O’Neill gave him a run for his money coming in 2nd, and Kelvin Hoeffler in 3rd. – Tyler Stewart
