Who got you into skating?

My best friend growing up down the street from me got me into skateboarding. His name is Chris Hopper. He brought a skateboard to my house back when THPS1 first came out and was the hype.

What’s your go to trick?

Probably a fs board slide. Even if there’s nothing to board slide.

Who was the first company to hook you up?

Rob Pontes hooked me up with etnies years ago, Super grateful for that dude. Roll for Rob!

What’s been your personal highlight in skating up to this point?

Putting out video parts for the last ten years.

What’s your favorite place (city, spot, etc) to skate and why?

Providence, Rhode Island. It’s super crusty, low key, and cutty. I always end up skating something rad when I’m out there.

What spot do you wish you could’ve skated, but never got the chance to?

Hubba hideout! Got to see it once but it was raining.

Who in your crew deserves some shine and why?

Tony Potenti, always been quietly killing it. Dude deserves some recognition!

What do you do when you’re not skating?

I work Monday through Friday, I hang out with my girlfriend. I like painting on occasion, also filming/photography. Hiking is tight.

What are your plans for the next 12 months?

Hopefully stack some money, finish up a couple video parts, do some traveling and skate more!

Any last words or shout outs?

Too many people to shout out, thanks everyone in my life for making it what it is. Y’all keep me going. – JD
